Resveratrol Supplements of Two Categories- Trans and Cis

Resveratrol ultra is a phytoalexin produced naturally by several plants when under attack by pathogens such as bacteria or fungi. Resveratrol (3,5,4'-trihydroxystilbene) is an isomeric polyphenolic phytoalexin. It is actually a stillbenoid  produced as an action of stilbene synthase in the plant cells.   It exists as two geometric isomers: cis- (Z) and trans- (E). The trans- form can undergo isomerization to the cis- form when exposed to ultraviolet irradiation.
